Scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, this workshop is designed to accommodate working professionals, students, and dance enthusiasts. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, the sessions will cover key elements of Kathak, including footwork, chakkars (spins), abhinaya (expressions), and rhythmic patterns (tala). Participants will receive personalized feedback, interactive Q&A opportunities, and practice material to continue their learning journey.
Following the successful completion of two workshops in Germany and Europe, we are bringing this enriching experience to the USA. Shivanjali Nritya Vatika is an affiliated Kathak Learning Institute from ABGMV Mumbai, India.
Shivanjali Nritya Vatika is a premier Kathak institute founded in 2015, dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Indian classical dance. Affiliated with Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, the institute offers diploma and degree courses, providing structured learning to students across all levels. Led by Mrs. Priyanka Waghe, a seasoned Kathak performer with 24+ years of experience and 12+ years of teaching expertise, the institute emphasizes both technical mastery and artistic expression.
Our mission is to nurture talent and spread the beauty of Kathak through performances, workshops, and cultural events. We offer our students diverse platforms to showcase their skills and gain stage experience. Beyond India, we conduct online classes internationally and have successfully held workshops in Germany and across Europe. With new batches soon starting in California, USA, Shivanjali Nritya Vatika continues to expand globally, inspiring a new generation of dancers with discipline, grace, and passion.

Mrs. Priyanka Waghe is a seasoned Kathak performer with 24+ years of experience and 12+ years in teaching. She has Master Degree in Kathak and Persurind Doctrates in Kathak litrature. She won a state-level competition at the age of 15, showcasing her talent early in life. As the founder of Shivanjali Nritya Vatika, she inspires students across India, Europe, and the USA, blending traditional techniques with modern approaches.

The workshop is open to participants of all levels, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners. No prior experience is required. Our sessions are designed to cater to both beginners and those with some background in Kathak.
